This totally looks like a legit light armour digimon right? Even with the demon eyes?

YES PEOPLE LAPIS' ARMOUR EVOLUTION IS FEMALE EVEN IF LAPIS IDENTIFIES AS MALE. MOVE ON

So yes, I got comments about people looking forward to seeing Bietimon/Lapis armour evolve into an angel. PFFFFFT no, he's already corrupt data so he's far from angelic. His original evolution definely had the angel vibe going on and as the corrupt form he has the demonic looks. So what happened here? Well, generally things that evolve from the digiegg of light tend to have a mythological theme, like the sphynx, quezecotl, etc. Knowing this I did a bit of digging around for something to base Lapis on, preferably a monster that was seen as less than benevolent. Most of the ones I found were either overused, or probably not appropriate for execution. Why were people telling stories so afraid of women anyways to base a bunch of monsters off of them?

ANYWAYS, I settled for Echidna since I wanted something reptillia and she was some snake lady. You might be wondering what that is: [link](mythology) She's known as "the mother of all monsters" in greek myth, giviing birth to creatures such as Cerberus, the Hydra, the Gorgons (and yes medusa) and MANY MORE. I started drawing a half snake humanoid and thought "well this looks too simple to be a digimon, it looks like I just stuck a human on top of a snake" so I added MORE stuff to it. Eventually Echidmon started to look more like a scorpion than some mecha armoured snake, but oh well. I stuck to the same colour scheme as the digi egg, hopefully you guys can recognize the crest of light on the armour
